Steve Jobs to kill iTunes Store DRM?

Ever since Apple launched it’s very popular music service iTunes the content you downloaded form the music store has been copy protected using Digital Rights Management (or DRM) allowing you to only use the files you download in certain ways(i.e. copy to an iPod burn onto an audio CD). That might all change, that is if Mr. Jobs has anything to do with it.

Life without Utaks…

Well the past month (well actually more than a month) has been the hardest one of my life. I took the death of Ben probably harder than most everyone else. From crying my eyes out to asking God that ever so dumb question: why. And even now I still get chocked up playing some 2Pac songs or talking about him. Utaks 11/25/87 – 1/13/07

On January 13 at about 11:08p ET my very best friend Ben “Utaks” “Utakz” Lucas died in a fire on the 5th floor of his appartment building where he lived.

While me and Ben never actualy face-met I did consider him a true friend, and now all i have is memories of by far my best friend…

Apple releases Dashcode Beta for Tiger

Apple has released a beta version of Dashcode, a widget designer for Tiger. You can download it here

At macworld Apple announced they were changing their name form Apple Computer inc. to Apple inc. as Apple branches out beyond just computers into other markets.

iPhone not a trademark of Cisco after all…maybe.

According to the US Patent and Trademark office Cisco may have given up their right to the iPhone trademark in late 2005 early 2006. An investigation into the matter ensues… Apple might be able to use the trademark after all. Only time will tell.

Apple unveils iPhone, Gets sued by Cisco

Apple took the raps off it’s venture in to the cell phone market with the iPhone at CES but gets sued by Cisco Systems for trademark infringement using the name "iPhone". Cisco’s Linksys division acquired the name along with it’s buyout of Infogear in 2000. Apple who partnered with Cingular to bring out the phone will now have to fight for the right to use the name
