As I logged in tonight I found that now you can upload video to Flickr! While it seems that at least right now you can only upload up to 90 seconds of video and you have to be a “pro” member (paid subscriber) this is defiantly welcome news at least for me!

The many faces of Firefox 3

I just installed Firefox 3 beta 5 on my Windows Vista boxx and I have to say it looks a lot different than the Mac version I am used to seeing. I am looking forward to installing in in Ubuntu to see how it differs form both the Windows and Mac versions.

Going without the www

For a few years now you could access this site without using the www in the URL. I found this kinda old article (Feb 24 2008) on an acquittance’s blog here. I thought about the many people who still use the now outdated sub domain to surf the net, in fact I remember telling someone to go to upload.trm96.com and they came back to me the next day and said that it did not work. Well I quickly figured out that were trying to use www.upload.trm96.com witch does not work.

Is phone phreaking still alive?

Whoa is it the 1980s again? Not really but a 17 year-old “phone phreak” from East Boston caught the attention of the FBI who suspect “Li’l Hacker.” whose real first name is Matthew (his last name not released because of him being under age). Apparently Matt was “swatting” witch involves malicious pranksters calling police with reports of fake murders, hostage crises, and such and spoofing the call to appear as though it was from another location.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is awarded a patent on Tuesday for inventing customized “Not found” (or error 404) HTTP error pages… Ahhhh what did we do before before these very “useful” error pages…
